NYC 988 (formerly NYC Well)

Description: NYC 988 offers free, confidential mental health support 24/7. Individuals can speak with a counselor via phone, text, or chat to access mental health and substance use services. This service is available in more than 200 languages

Here are some mental health resources you can look into if you are experiencing any distress:

 - You can get support for mental and substance use disorders, prevention, and recovery from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Helpline: call 1-800-662-4357; text your 5-digit ZIP Code to 435748, reply HELP to reach an information specialist; TTY 1-800-487-4889. 
This is a free, 24-hour, confidential treatment referral and information service line, available in English and Spanish.

- The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), is a confidential peer support service that provides information, resource referrals, and support to people living with mental health conditions, their caregivers, and mental health providers; call 1-800-950-6264 Monday through Friday, 10A.M to 10P.M. ET.
