NYC Health Clinics 

Description: New York City Health Department clinics offer patients sexual health, immunization and tuberculosis (TB) services, regardless of immigration status. If you do not have health insurance and cannot pay the fee, you can still get services.

NYCCare 

Description: Partnerships with community based-organizations (CBOs) are part of a broad strategy of NYC Care to conduct culturally-sensitive outreach to prospective members citywide. NYC Care is currently working with 22 CBOs in the five boroughs to ensure all New Yorkers in need of access to health care are being connected to the program.

Description: The Human Resources Administration or Department of Social Services is the department of the government of New York City in charge of the majority of the city's social services programs.

Health Insurance Enrollment Assistance - Jamaica Health Center 
 

Description: Jamaica Hospital is committed to providing quality health care services to its patients regardless of age, gender, race, national origin, socio-economic status, immigration status, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation. Patients who are uninsured, or who believe they do not have the ability to pay for their medical services, can inquire about applying for medical coverage through various health insurance programs. These programs include Medicaid, Child Health Plus and/or subsidized qualified health plans that can be purchased through the New York State health insurance exchange. There are trained professionals located on-campus at the hospital that can assist patients in applying for insurance through those programs.

Outpatient Psychiatry Services - Jamaica Hospital 
 

Description: Jamaica Hospital Medical Center provides outpatient psychiatry services through its Mental Health Clinic. The clinic offers a range of services for individuals of all ages, including initial assessments, psychiatric evaluations, crisis intervention, medication management, psychotherapy, and complex care management. It also provides peer/family support, health monitoring, and psychiatric consultations.

Advances Center for Psychotherapy 
 

Description: All of our psychiatrists are Board-eligible or Board-certified. Many of our therapists are graduates of postgraduate training institutes for psychotherapy. This includes The Advanced Institute for Analytic Psychotherapy (AIAP), which is affiliated with ACP. The New York State Board of Regents charters the Institute. Other ACP therapists have postgraduate training from other institutes and many years of experience. Our professional staff consists of licensed and certified psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals. After therapy at ACP, people feel better about themselves and their lives. You and your family can feel the same.

Mobile Crisis Unit - Jamaica Hospital 


Description: Jamaica Hospital's Mobile Crisis Unit provides immediate on-site assessment, intervention, and support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The team, comprised of behavioral health professionals like social workers and peer specialists, offers services in the community, including homes and schools, aiming to stabilize individuals and prevent unnecessary hospitalizations. They provide crisis intervention, counseling, and referrals to community-based mental health services.

Medicaid Transportation 
 

Description: The Medicaid Transportation program ensures Medicaid members can get to and from their medical appointments at no cost to them. We arrange non-emergency transportation, such as pre-scheduled trips to primary care and the dentist. For emergency medical services, please call 911. We do not provide trips to non-medical locations like pharmacies, gyms, schools, or grocery stores. Trips are arranged at the most medically appropriate, cost-effect level of service. These include public transit, taxi/livery, ambulette, ambulance (ALS/BLS), and personal vehicle mileage reimbursement. Members generally travel using the same mode they use for daily living.

Access-A-Ride Paratransit Service (AAR) 
 

Description: Access-A-Ride (AAR) Paratransit Service provides public transportation for eligible customers with disabilities or health conditions that prevent them from using the public buses and subways for some or all of their trips. AAR operates 24/7/365.
